Within Radiology Services, the diagnostic imaging program gives a Senior Radiology Technologist or Lead Radiology Technologist the environment and tools to excel-this is a nearly 300-bed acute care facility part of a regional leading health network, known as an award-winning non-profit hospital location. offers all acute care inpatient services in addition to various outpatient care services; the imaging suite spans general radiography, CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and image-guided procedures supported by a modern PACS/RIS, evidence-based protocols, and quality benchmarks aligned with national best practices and accreditation standards for a seamless, patient-centered experience.
Reporting directly to an Imaging Manager/Director, the Senior Radiology Technologist will be supported by modality supervisors, clinical educators, and a responsive biomedical and IT team, while collaborating daily with friendly nurses and a diverse healthcare professional group committed to safe, compassionate care; as a Lead Radiology Technologist-caliber professional, responsibilities include producing high-quality images, optimizing protocols, maintaining QA/QC and ALARA radiation safety, performing equipment checks and contrast workflows per policy, ensuring accurate documentation within the EHR and PACS/RIS, engaging in throughput and patient experience initiatives, mentoring and precepting peers and students, contributing to accreditation readiness, and partnering with emergency, surgical, and inpatient teams to deliver timely diagnostics across complex cases.
