Senior Systems Engineer - LTAMDS Radar

Location: Tewksbury, MA (50 Apple Hill Drive, Assabet - Building 1)
Schedule: Full Time | Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay: $125,000 - negotiable based on experience
Hours: 40 hours/week - 12-month contract

Clearance: Must have active Secret Clearance (DoD)


About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the development and full life-cycle of the Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor (LTAMDS) radar. This role involves hands-on systems engineering across requirements development, integration, test, verification, and performance analysis in both simulated and real-world environments.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop system requirements, algorithms, concepts of operations, and define system interfaces
  • Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation for simulated and operational environments
  • Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system-level issues through detailed data analysis and debugging
  • Develop and execute models to predict system performance and support verification and validation activities
  • Integrate hardware and software into tactical systems and evaluate functionality and performance impact
  • Develop integration documentation, execute integration plans, analyze results, and verify system requirements
  • Communicate technical findings, risks, and results clearly to leadership and key stakeholders
  • Conduct statistical and numerical analysis of radar performance data to ensure optimal system performance

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of prior engineering experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)

Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience with systems software, systems hardware, systems requirements, systems integration, and/or systems test
  • Experience developing scripts and functions using MATLAB
  • Experience developing and managing technical requirements
  • Proficiency with C++, Python, or similar programming languages
  • Experience generating technical documentation such as test plans, procedures, and technical reports
  • Experience working in an integration lab, test facility, or field environment supporting integration and/or verification
  • Experience evaluating systems using simulated environments
  • Experience interfacing with internal and external customers
