Description

SAIC is seeking an individual for a Radar Analyst role to join the Air Force, Space and Intel Business Group. This group provides specialized program management, engineering, analysis and operations support to a variety of Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) customers. You would support the cutting-edge programs in national security-related systems based in space, in the air and on the ground.
This Radar Analyst role will work in a collaborative team-focused environment in designing and developing algorithms and tools which will be used in modeling and processing radar applications and analysis.  This position will help advance current and future concepts to inform missions and potential acquisitions. Your role will be to provide expertise and proficiency to develop algorithms and provide modeling and simulation efforts supporting radar analysis.   
The successful candidate would have the qualifications:
Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance w/Poly

  • Experience in developing and maintaining physics-based simulation models of radar pertaining to ground, air or space systems

  • Conducting radar sensor modeling, data analysis and digital signal processing of collected or simulated data products

  • Use scripting languages (Python, MATLAB, or similar) to automate workflows, perform data analysis, and interface between simulation tools.

  • Generate technical documentation, simulation reports, and visualizations to communicate findings and support design decisions.

  • Support trade studies and design reviews by providing modeling insights into performance impacts of design changes. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field with 5 years of professional technical experience (Master’s degree with 3  years

  • Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance w/Poly

  • Understanding of radio frequency sensing systems

  • Strong mathematics background 

  • Intermediate Python programming experience preferred. Experience with libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, pandas, and matplotlib is beneficial.

  • General understanding of orbit theory, orbit determination, and orbit propagation 

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
