Job description

RF/Radar Engineer

Location: Huntsville, AL

Clearance: Active Secret (with eligibility for Top Secret/SCI)

Position Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking radar engineers focused on the design and performance of advanced radar systems. This role centers on end-to-end radar design - defining radar performance across challenging operational environments through architecture development, performance analysis, algorithm and waveform design, and hardware prototyping.

You will work on next-generation radar capabilities, including distributed aperture architectures. This is a hands-on technical role where analytical design decisions are translated into radar systems and their measured performance.

This role will shape the technical direction of a first-of-its-kind distributed aperture radar capability.

Radar Design & Performance Responsibilities

  • Design and mature radar system architectures, including performance analysis, algorithm and waveform development, vulnerability assessment, and support to hardware prototypes.
  • Shape radar design by developing waveforms and novel algorithms that evolve typical multifunction radar capabilities (e.g. acquisition, track, discrimination, EP, etc.) beyond the typical monostatic aperture topology.
  • Perform radar and RF modeling and simulation to support architecture trade studies and validate system performance.
  • Evaluate radar performance across operational scenarios, including cluttered and contested environments.

Prototyping & Evaluation Responsibilities

  • Conduct simulation and laboratory testing and data collection on radar subsystems and prototype hardware.
  • Analyze test and simulation results to assess performance against requirements and drive design improvements.
  • Translate analytical results into concrete system-level design improvements.

Collaboration & Program Execution Responsibilities

  • Develop technical documentation and design artifacts required to demonstrate progress and support program milestones.
  • Work with program leadership to ensure technical execution remains aligned with cost, schedule, and performance constraints.
  • Prepare and present technical briefings for government stakeholders, design reviews, and program milestones.
  • Represent radar design and performance perspectives in technical interchange meetings and design reviews.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's + 3-8 years of relevant experience

Additional Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance required (with eligibility for Top Secret/SCI)
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Experience executing technical work independently with limited oversight.
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, mission-driven programs.
