Radar Analyst/Team Manager

Program Summary

Job Summary

Join a dynamic team of talented and inspired engineers developing a new US Army radar system. This program integrates state-of-the-art sensor technology with existing Army Air and Missile Defense systems, and requires in-depth understanding of Radar systems and theory, and hardware background. Candidates require strong analytical and problem-solving skills to perform data analysis and reporting of radar data from modeling and simulation and live test events.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Candidates will be required to become competent in data reduction software, data reduction output, and analysis tools.
  • You will interface directly with the Government customer and contractor subject matter experts regularly.
  • The candidate will manage a team of radar and seeker/signal processing engineers.
  • Will be responsible for developing and mentoring the next subject matter experts on radar functionality and data analysis.
  • Analyze radar system performance in simulation, test, and real-world venues in the areas of search, track, discrimination, Electronic Protection, EMI, debris/false target mitigation, and missile guidance support.

  • Develop and update analysis techniques and Matlab-based tools to improve analysis efficiency.

  • Develop detailed performance analysis briefings and reports for the government project office, evaluation community, and warfighter community, including any issues identified in the analysis and recommended path forward.

  • Analyze proposed hardware and software modifications and evaluate their impacts on system performance and potential to address known issues.

Basic Qualifications

  • Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering (electrical, software, computer, etc.) or other STEM related fields (physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, etc.) with 8+ years of experience or a Master's Degree in degree in engineering (electrical, software, computer, etc.) or other STEM related fields (physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, etc.) with 6+ years of experience.
  • Demonstrated expertiseof AESA radar hardware, radar architecture and signal processing. Need to be familiar with DoD systems engineering processes and provide SME expertise to customers on daily basis.
  • Working knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, MATLAB, and Python.
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen.
  • Possess or be able to obtain (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance.
  • Able to travel 20% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience directly supporting a Government customer.
  • Technical expertise with ability to logically formulate solutions for execution on prescribed schedules.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members, leadership, and customers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with strong presentation skills and capable of briefing audiences large or small of varying technical knowledge.
