Job description

SR. BUSINESS ANALYST (CUSTOMER SUCCESS)

Starlink, our revolutionary satellite constellation, delivers low-latency broadband internet worldwide, connecting consumers in remote and underserved areas. The team drives consumer adoption and expansion by analyzing market trends, optimizing acquisition strategies, and informing pricing and retention initiatives. This role will focus on consumer metrics and insights, conducting research and reporting to support data-driven decisions that accelerate subscriber growth and enhance user value. Our ideal candidate is a proactive analyst with a blend of quantitative skills and curiosity for market dynamics, capable of turning complex data into actionable strategies for consumer growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform in-depth analyses of consumer metrics, including Lifetime Value (LTV), Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), churn rates, and cohort performance, using SQL queries and statistical methods to uncover trends and opportunities
  • Develop forecasting models for subscriber growth, revenue projections, and market penetration, incorporating external factors like competitive landscapes and economic indicators
  • Create and maintain reporting dashboards and visualizations (e.g., using Tableau, Power BI, or Looker) to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for consumer acquisition, retention, and engagement
  • Conduct market research and price analysis, evaluating elasticity, competitive pricing, and promotional impacts to recommend optimizations that drive revenue and affordability
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and sales teams to integrate insights into growth strategies, including A/B testing support and scenario planning
  • Identify data gaps and work with engineering teams to improve data collection for consumer use cases, ensuring robust datasets for ongoing analysis
  • Deliver presentations and reports to stakeholders, translating technical findings into clear, business-oriented recommendations that influence decision-making
  • Support ad-hoc research projects, such as regional market assessments or emerging trends in broadband adoption, blending qualitative insights with quantitative rigor

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of professional experience in business analytics, consulting, market research, or growth operations
  • 3+ years of experience with SQL and creating/managing dashboards using data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
  • 1+ years of experience leading projects

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, statistics, computer science, or a related quantitative field
  • Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins, window functions, and query optimization
  • Experience with forecasting, financial metrics (e.g., LTV, CAC), or pricing analysis
  • Proficiency in statistical modeling and forecasting techniques (e.g., time-series analysis, regression in Python or R)
  • Experience with ETL processes, data pipelines, or automation scripting (e.g., Python, VBA)
  • Background in high-growth consumer tech environments, startups, or consulting firms with a focus on customer acquisition and retention
  • Strong research skills, including familiarity with market intelligence tools (e.g., surveys, competitive analysis platforms)
