Job SummaryÂ
Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support the Information Security team in planning, executing, and delivering IT security initiatives. This is a hands-on role requiring a technical project manager with cybersecurity ("security shop") experience who will actively manage projects-not just observe. The ideal candidate will be an integral part of the team, driving execution, anticipating risks, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex initiatives.Â
Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Actively lead and manage projects end-to-end, ensuring timely and successful deliveryÂ
- Track project status, monitor progress, and provide clear updates to stakeholdersÂ
- Identify, escalate, and resolve issues proactivelyÂ
- Develop a strong understanding of project scope, timelines, and dependenciesÂ
- Serve as a key partner to stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor ("project manager whisperer")Â
- Be an integral part of the team, contributing to both planning and executionÂ
- Forecast potential risks/issues and communicate them effectively with mitigation strategiesÂ
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and timelinesÂ
- Create, assign, and manage tasks across project teamsÂ
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, leadership, and stakeholdersÂ
- Ensure adherence to EPMO standards, project charters, and required documentation. Coach teams on project management processes and best practicesÂ
- Facilitate status meetings, reporting, and stakeholder communicationÂ
- Drive audit remediation efforts, including identifying issues, defining tasks, and ensuring resolutionÂ
- Support and manage change management initiativesÂ
- Oversee technical deployments, ensuring smooth executionÂ
- Collaborate closely with security teams to align priorities and executionÂ
Required QualificationsÂ
- 8 years of experience in Project Management, including 5 years leading IT security initiativesÂ
- Proven experience as a hands-on Technical Project Manager in a cybersecurity environmentÂ
- Experience working within an EPMO or PMO environment, with adherence to project governance standards, charter development, and required documentationÂ
- Strong ability to manage, not just coordinate, complex projectsÂ
- Experience with Microsoft Project for planning and trackingÂ
- Experience with ServiceNow SPM (Strategic Portfolio Management) moduleÂ
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (required)Â
- Strong understanding of audit remediation, risk management, and complianceÂ
- Experience managing change management and technical deploymentsÂ
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneouslyÂ
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skillsÂ
- Ability to understand technical concepts and translate them into actionable plans.
