Medical Director | Up to $300,000 + Bonus | Full-Time | Louisville, KY

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

A well-established, mission-driven healthcare organization is seeking a Medical Director to lead clinical operations for its Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) in Louisville, Kentucky. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician leader who enjoys quality improvement, provider development, value-based care, and strategic leadership while maintaining a limited clinical workload.

This role is approximately 80% administrative and 20% clinical, allowing you to focus on improving care delivery, supporting providers, and driving outcomes for a medically complex senior population.

What You'll Do

  • Provide medical oversight for a growing PACE program
  • Lead quality improvement and clinical outcomes initiatives
  • Develop and maintain clinical standards, protocols, and medical policies
  • Oversee utilization management, hospitalizations, specialty referrals, and post-acute care services
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate employed providers
  • Partner with operational, compliance, quality, and executive leadership teams
  • Support regulatory readiness and interdisciplinary care delivery

What You'll Bring

  • MD or DO
  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Kentucky medical license or ability to obtain
  • DEA registration
  • Minimum 1 year caring for frail elderly populations
  • At least 3 years of physician leadership or administrative experience
  • Experience with quality management, utilization review, peer review, credentialing, and performance improvement
  • PACE, geriatrics, Medicare Advantage, managed care, SNF, or value-based care experience preferred
