Job description

MANTECH seeks an experienced and passionate, career and customer-oriented Linux System Administrator to join our team in Ft. Meade, MD.
 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Creating and managing virtual environments
  • Systems administration of hardware and software in support of maintenance, developing and testing of information technology systems
  • Administration of Linux (i.e., Redhat/Rocky 8)
  • Scripting with Basic Shell (Bash), PUTTY
  • Configuring and maintaining storage and file systems
  • Developing and delivering briefings, technical presentations, and program documentation to senior program management

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ of overall technical experience
  • Linux administrative experience (command-line)
  • Server STE/STN Compliancy (ex., NESSUS, MacAfee Agents) and performing server management relating to security tools such as patch management (applying O/S updates, IAVAs, and configuration changes)
  • Demonstrated experience working with a team to introduce and integrate new technologies into  existing production environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiar with installing, troubleshooting, and maintenance on OS on Linux
  • Experience with installing PKI certs
  • Create/Maintain bash scripts to dump and load databases
  • Use SALT to deploy config files to end node and do various interrogations (ping, DNS)

 Clearance Requirement:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly
     

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time.
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as, the copy machine/fax machine/computer/printer.
