About the Role

The Senior Recruiter is responsible for recruiting/sourcing for sales, client relationship management, and other roles that come your way. The associates you hire will lead teams or individually contribute to our company's success. You take a creative approach to seeking out the best talent, employing innovative recruiting techniques that enable us to be a best-in-class recruitment shop. In partnership with your team, you will effectively manage candidates through the recruiting and selection process, provide consulting and guidance to our business clients and participate in projects that enhance the recruiting experience. Your internal clients are very engaged in, and will be working closely with you to support the recruitment process. This role, and the people you hire, will have a huge impact on helping Capital One Canada drive forward.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full lifecycle recruiting process. This will include creating compelling position descriptions, sourcing diverse candidate pipelines, marketing Capital One's talent brand to attract top talent, screening candidates, advising hiring managers on the recruiting process, and negotiating job offers

  • Source stellar candidates. Look beyond direct applications and leverage search engines, career sites, recruiting events, and other innovative sourcing techniques to find the best talent in the market

  • Advise clients and leadership on market trends and recommend more effective ways to attract and recruit great talent

  • Develop candidate pipeline strategies to fill open positions (i.e., talent marketing, LinkedIn sourcing, referrals, etc.)

  • Create and extend job offers and close identified candidates

  • Leverage recruiting data to proactively provide status updates and hiring results to leadership and HR partners

  • Identify and engage potential partnerships with organizations to promote Capital One as an employer of choice

  • Work on business improvement initiatives including talent strategy, sourcing tools and pre-assessments


Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in recruitment in a corporate/staffing environment recruiting for senior level positions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience collaborating with recruiting managers and peers on sourcing strategies

  • Experience serving as a talent advisor and partner to hiring managers and leadership for all things related to recruiting.

  • Workday experience is a strong asset

  • 2+ years of experience leveraging sourcing tools like LinkedIn Recruiter and Google x-ray searches

  • 2+ years of experience creating and updating talent maps

The expected annual salary range for this position is $94,800 - $108,200. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
