Position: Senior Oracle Database Administrator
Location: On-Site in Annapolis, Maryland
Clearance: TS/SCI (Required)

Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator with 10+ years of experience supporting large-scale or enterprise-level database environments.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience administering and engineering solutions using Oracle Database (versions 10g through current).
  • Extensive experience in database design and data modeling.
  • Strong background in gathering and interpreting customer requirements related to database migration, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and tuning.
  • Significant hands-on experience with:
    • Oracle RAC
    • RMAN backup and recovery
  • Experience with:
    • Oracle Exadata
    • Database security (including Data Guard and/or DB Vault)
    • Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control
    • Label Security
    • Data migration
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently.
Qualifications / Leadership Expectations:
The Practice/Technical Director provides technology and industry leadership on large and/or complex IT engagements. This role leads enterprise-wide solution initiatives to deliver high-quality, integrated solutions within time and budget constraints.

Responsibilities include:
  • Designing and delivering integrated, enterprise-scale solutions aligned to customer requirements.
  • Developing robust architectures that incorporate GOTS, COTS, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and third-party components.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert to guide customers through complex business and technology decisions.
  • Designing, configuring, and implementing full-stack architectures that leverage Oracle best practices, IT product expertise, and strong business acumen.
  • Recommending and implementing enhancements to address complex customer needs.
