Job description

The Oracle Implementation & Systems Admin is responsible for leading the end-to-end implementation, integration, and lifecycle management of Oracle enterprise platforms, with primary ownership of solution design, deployment execution, and post-implementation operational stability. This role blends hands-on engineering, architectural leadership, and strategic platform ownership, ensuring Oracle systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives.

Implementation leadership is the core function of this role, supported by deep expertise in Oracle infrastructure, databases, and enterprise systems engineering.

Primary Responsibilities (Implementation-Led)

Oracle Platform Implementation & Integration

  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of Oracle system implementations, upgrades, migrations, and consolidations across enterprise environments.
  • Act as the technical authorityfor Oracle deployments, ensuring solutions meet performance, availability, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Partner with application, infrastructure, security, and business teams to deliver end-to-end Oracle solutionsfrom concept through production.
  • Oversee Oracle cloud,implementations, including integration with adjacent enterprise platforms.
  • Drive standardization, repeatable implementation patterns, and documentation for Oracle environments.

Systems & Database Engineering (Post-Implementation Ownership)

  • Engineer, configure, and maintain Oracle databases and supporting systems to ensure high availability, performance optimization, and data integrity.
  • Design and support backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
  • Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and root-cause analysis for complex Oracle environments.
  • Implement automation, monitoring, and operational tooling to improve reliability and reduce manual overhead.
  • Ensure environments adhere to internal standards, security controls, and vendor best practices.

Architecture & Strategic Leadership

  • Serve as the Oracle technical architect, defining long-term platform strategy and roadmaps.
  • Evaluate new Oracle technologies, features, and deployment models, providing recommendations to leadership.
  • Act as escalation point for complex technical issues and cross-team dependencies.
  • Mentor junior engineers and administrators; establish engineering standards and operational best practices.
