Job description

General Overview: Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Senior DOORS Next Generation (DNG) database administrator who is also familiar with Missile Defense System (MDS) modeling and simulation (M&S) architectures.
Job Roles & Responsibilities:
  • The candidate will be supporting MDA/SEQV Systems Verification, which has been designated the MDA M&S requirements manager
  • Manage user access, project areas, roles, and permissions within DOORS Next Generation (DNG)
  • Configure requirement types, attributes, link types, artifact, and workflows
  • Create and maintain custom templates, modules, and views
  • Execute bulk data migrations using Excel and CSV formats
  • Export DNG modules to external formats for stakeholders
  • Generate automated, print-ready PDF and Word requirement documents
  • Author and maintain the Change and Configuration Management Plan
  • Create and manage streams, baselines, and components
  • Author, update, and manage document generation templates in Engineering Lifecycle Optimization - Publishing
  • Design custom report layouts, headers, footers, and stylers per program and product standards
  • Troubleshoot template formatting errors and data source connection issues
  • Assist with analysis of real-world requirements and translate them into M&S requirements
  • No travel is anticipated with this position

Required Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree + 12 years relevant experience, or Bachelor's + 20 years exp is required.
  • Must possess a Secret level security clearance (or higher)
  • Experience working with IBM DOORS Next Generation
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while reporting results as part of a team.
  • Candidate should be able to work in an open, collaborative environment
  • Good communication skills, both orally and written; ability to generate briefings, reports, and technical documentation, as required
  • Ability to work on-site 5 days a week

Desired Qualifications:
  • BS and/or MS in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science discipline
  • Prior experience working in missile defense and modeling & simulation
  • Minimum 2 years administering IBM DOORS Next Generation
