Both roles are essential in maintaining organizational network health but differ in scope and complexity.

What skills and qualifications are needed to be a senior network support engineer?

To thrive as a Senior Network Support Engineer, you need deep knowledge of network architecture, troubleshooting, and security protocols, typically supported by a degree in computer science or a related field and relevant certifications like CCNP or CompTIA Network+. Expertise with network monitoring tools, firewalls, routers, switches, and ticketing systems is essential. Job description

***This role requires on-site responsibility in the Quantico, Virginia area.****

Our client, a pioneer in proactive exposure management and winner of the SC Award for Best CTEM Solution, helps organizations see, understand, and secure their hybrid digital environments across IT (on-prem, cloud, and remote workers), OT, and IoT. By dynamically modeling the entire environment, our client uncovers hidden assets, misconfigurations, and lateral attack paths, prioritizes exposures based on business-critical impact with Risk Radiusโ„ข, and continuously validates compliance with internal policies and industry standards. Trusted by hundreds of Fortune 1000 companies and more than 75 U.S. government agencies, including all five branches of the U.S. military, our client strengthens resilience, streamlines operations, and reduces business risk.

Why this role exists

Our client is a leading enterprise cybersecurity platform company transforming how organizations secure their digital infrastructure. Our platform models complex networking environments (physical, cloud, hybrid) and delivers actionable intelligence that strengthens resilience, accelerates incident response, and maximizes security team productivity. We make large, messy networks visible and compliantโ€”fast. You will lead complex deployments, integrate with customer stacks (cloud + on-prem), and turn security data into decisions. If you like both a terminal and a boardroom, you will fit here.

The Opportunity: Drive multi-million dollar Impact

Join our Professional Services team as a Senior Network Security Engineering Consultant and directly impact our clients' most critical security initiatives. You will architect and deploy cutting-edge security solutions in state-of-the-art environments, working with some of the largest and most complex networks in the world.

  • Architect solutions that align with client security objectives and deliver measurable improvements

Technical Leadership & Innovation
  • Deploy and optimize our platform across complex hybrid cloud environments
  • Integrate with enterprise tools including Splunk, Azure Sentinel, ServiceNow, and SIEM platforms

  • Automation: Python for APIs/reporting/data normalization; comfortable with JSON/YAML/XML, or low code solutions like n8n, zapier, and nifi.
  • Segmentation & exposure reduction: practical experience finding/fixing risky paths across hybrid estates.
