Job Title

Senior Network Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in routing, switching, network security, cloud networking, troubleshooting, and network automation. This role will work closely with infrastructure, security, cloud, and application teams to ensure highly available, secure, and scalable network services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement enterprise LAN/WAN, data center, and cloud network architectures.
  • Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and wireless infrastructure.
  • Administer routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and TCP/IP.
  • Manage VLANs, STP, trunking, NAT, DHCP, DNS, and IP addressing.
  • Monitor network performance, availability, capacity, and security.
  • Troubleshoot complex network connectivity, performance, and latency issues.
  • Implement and maintain network security controls, including firewalls, ACLs, VPNs, and segmentation.
  • Design and support AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform networking environments.
  • Implement network automation using Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar technologies.
  • Participate in network upgrades, migrations, disaster recovery, and infrastructure modernization projects.
  • Develop network diagrams, technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and resolve critical network incidents.
  • Work with cybersecurity teams to identify and remediate network vulnerabilities.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to network engineers and administrators.
  • Participate in on-call and production support activities as required.
Required Skills
  • 10+ years of experience in network engineering or network infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco networking technologies and enterprise network architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS/IOS-XE, Nexus, or equivalent platforms.
  • Strong understanding of BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, MPLS, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and VPN.
  • Experience with network security and enterprise firewalls such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Cisco ASA/Firepower.
  • Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking concepts in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with network automation and scripting using Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of high availability, redundancy, load balancing, and disaster recovery.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with SD-WAN, SDN, SASE, and Zero Trust networking.
  • Experience with data center technologies such as VXLAN, EVPN, ACI, and spine-leaf architecture.
  • Knowledge of IPv6 and modern network security practices.
  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, Git, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience working in large-scale enterprise or hybrid-cloud environments.
Education
  • Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent professional experience and industry certifications may be considered.
