The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the implementation and administration of Global Enterprise technologies for data networks, hybrid and software defined network technology stacks, Remote Access, Firewall deployments and related network infrastructure management services. This role is responsible for delivering technical accountability and support for complex network analysis and design activities at the guidance of Global IT leadership. This position will assist in the review/assessment of enterprise needs, conduct feasibility studies for projects and may assist in the evaluation and selection of global equipment standards. This team member is responsible primarily for the performance and optimization of premise and cloud-based network platforms through continuous review and assessment of enterprise-wide needs. They are also responsible for developing requests for proposals, evaluating vendor products, and making recommendations on selection. This team member may function in a position providing guidance, direction to other IT enterprise functions. Additionally, the Senior Analyst (SRE) will focus on sustainability and improvement of processes.
*This position is an onsite role based in Waukesha, Wisconsin and requires at least 15% travel to local sites
Major Responsibilities:
  • Provide tier 3 technical support and guidance to global business units and its other information technology teams to resolve network issues and to support the implementation of new network projects.
  • Design and implement network solutions related to merger and acquisitions projects.
  • Collaborate with Cyber Security and Operational business groups to provide technical guidance on current and future network designs in support of stated business objectives.
  • Develop and implement network security postures, ensuring compliance with stated security policies, patching and procedures.
  • Design, service, support Global deployment of network technology stacks at subsidiary organizations.
  • Evaluate Global network architecture to recommend design changes to enhance network performance and eliminate single points of failure.
  • Resolve incident response and service request tickets as they arise and ensure align with Global IT SLA standards.
  • Update and create Global network diagrams, policies and documentation.

Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience of participating in major networking project as analyst, architect or technical lead

Preferred Job Requirements:
  • HPE Aruba Networks Professional (SD-WAN) and/or HPE Aruba Networks Architect (Data Center)
  • Juniper Networks, Enterprise Routing Switching (JNCIP-ENT) and/or Juniper Networks, Data Center Professional, (JNCIP-DC)
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional Enterprise (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert Enterprise Infrastructure (CCIE).
  • AWS Certified Advanced Networking and/or Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700)
  • CompTIA Network+ or Security+

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
  • Expert level knowledge in at least two of the following areas:
  • Major routing protocols EIGRP, OSFP, BGP This includes advanced routing techniques such as Policy Based Routing, VRF, and QoS Campus network switching design and configuration including FHRPs, VSS, vPC, VTP, Multicast, Spanning Tree, SD-WAN
  • WAN site to site connections (MPLS, ELAN, VPN, IPSEC, P2P)
  • SDWAN configuration, troubleshooting, and design (Silver Peak, Aryaka, Cisco, Citrix)
  • Cloud data center network configuration, troubleshooting, and design (AWS, Azure, Google)
  • Network Access Control (Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass, 8021X, AAA, and ACS)
  • Cisco Wireless networks; WLC, Prime Infrastructure, and site surveys
  • Aruba Wireless network; Aruba Central
  • Advanced skill in architectural network design, installation, and maintenance of route, switch, and wireless network infrastructure. Skilled inn supporting Palo Alto networks and other next-gen firewall technologies
  • Strong knowledge of internal (LAN) and external (WAN) technology landscape
  • Excellent technical documentation skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of industry trends and new technologies and ability to apply to day-to-day activities
  • Knowledge of enterprise platforms and operating systems as well as knowledge of key business functions and processes
  • Must have high attention to detail, be well organized and be a self-starter
  • Possess critical thinking and analytical skills with an ability to evaluate complex problems and issues quickly and accurately in order to recommend or take the most appropriate course of action
  • Ability to travel among other facilities and global locations to implement solutions as required.
  • Comfort with working on lifts, mezzanines, at heights of 20 to 30 feet.
