1st shift (United States of America)Please review the following job description:The Risk and Data Reporting Manager will join the Risk Analytics, Insight & Modeling organization to oversee multiple teams across diverse risk disciplines in the delivery of complex and comprehensive risk reporting, data, business intelligence, and related services. Role is primarily aligned to support stakeholders, needs, and initiatives within the Risk Management Organization, but can also support other areas of Truist. Work with senior risk leaders and executives to provide valuable and critical information which influence effective decision making about risk monitoring, management and mitigation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

1. Provide leadership and strategic direction for multiple teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of reports, analyses, data, system-related or operational tasks.

2. Ensure that key departmental processes are documented and that appropriate controls are in place.

3. Develop consultative relationships with senior and executive leaders within the Risk Management Organization and other areas of Truist. Engage with stakeholders to identify short and long term business objectives and strategize solution requirements.

4. Plan and manage complex projects, such as development of new or modified reporting in response to process, system, regulatory, or organizational changes.

5. Recruit, train, develop and retain top quality talent.

6. Develop short- and long-term plans by translating business strategies and emerging external trends to organizational and operational tactics and priorities.

7. Identify and resolve technical, operational, risk management, business, and organizational challenges.

8. Provide direction and guidance for large projects and initiatives, typically with significant implications for a business unit or function.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

2. 15+ years in positions that carry increasing levels of responsibility in banking or financial institutions and/or risk management experience.

3. Broad and in-depth knowledge within own professional discipline and other related disciplines. Sound and comprehensive understanding of business and organizational strategies and processes.

4. Knowledge of the external environment, including Truist's competition, regulatory requirements and trends, and the strategies employed to continually meet the demands of clients and regulators.

5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

6. Ability to influence and negotiate with other senior leaders and executives in light of their unique perspectives and competing priorities. Ability to develop relationships and interact at all levels within the organization.

7. Ability to exercise judgment and sophisticated skills in solving unique and highly complex technical, operational, and organizational challenges in the context of business objectives and priorities.

8. Ability to lead and manage performance of a team or multiple teams against a set of financial and operational objectives. Ability to translate business strategies and emerging external trends to organizational and operational tactics.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Graduate degree in related field

2. Previous experience in banking, with specific emphasis on reporting, business intelligence, systems, technology, data, risk, compliance or related areas

3. Relevant professional or technical certifications

4. Advanced skills in data wrangling, data engineering, data science, or related areas. Experience with languages and tools such as Python, SQL, SAS, Qlik, Tableau, etc.
