Title: Developer (MS Acess 2010/2013)

Location: Sacramento, CA

Duration:  6 months  to  1Year

Position Description

The project is to gather business requirements and design, build, test, and implement a

well-structured relational database in MS Access 2010.  The implementation will require

data to be converted/migrated from an older MS Access application.

Position Requirements

Minimum of three (3) years experience in designing, developing, testing, and

implementing relational database management systems (RDMS) comprised

of one to two years of RDMS experience in Access 2010/2013 and one to two

year of experience in Microsoft Structured Query Language Server (MS SQL) or

equivalent. Experience shall include all of the following:

a. Developing 3-tier architecture.

b. Configuring multi-user level security permissions in Access 2010/2013

c. Programming in Virtual Basic for Applications (VBA), writing macros,

building queries, developing forms, and designing reports in Access 2010/2013.

d. Migrating data from one relational database to another relational database.

Must have fully completed the life cycle one (1) relational database project of similar scope, complexity, and schedule as the outlined in the Statement of Work.

Minimum of one year of experience or the completion of one project involving the design, development, and implementation of a relational database in Access 2003.

Desirable Qualifications:

Experience designing and/or developing in MS Access 2007 or higher

Experience migrating data to MS Access 2010 or 2013 from multiple sources (including a prior version of MS Access)

Experience developing training plan/materials and conducting training

Project management tasks/skills
