Kemin Industries is looking for a Sr. Marketing Communication Manager to join the North America Animal Nutrition & Health Business Unit.


The Sr. Manager, Marketing Communications is a people leadership role within the North America Animal Nutrition & Health business unit, leading a high-performing team and driving marketing strategies that support business growth and customer engagement. Reporting to an Associate Director or Director, this position oversees integrated brand, content, channel, and demand generation initiatives while partnering with stakeholders to translate business priorities into impactful marketing outcomes. This role combines strategic leadership, team development, and executional excellence to enhance the customer experience and drive business performance.

Responsibilities

  • Guide new brand launches from creative concept through legal clearance, keeping target audience, positioning, and identity aligned to brand strategy.

  • Enforce brand identity, monitor brand metrics and elevate recurring compliance issues.

  • Build channel plans across web, email, social, print, and trade touchpoints for assigned programs.

  • Manage publishing calendars and content quality, Oversee SEO basics and leveraging global digital marketing resources.

  • Measure cross-channel performance and optimize toward the platforms and formats driving the strongest engagement.

  • Develop media and public relations strategy, including priority audiences, messaging, and spokesperson approach.

  • Oversee external communications across earned media, press materials, digital content, and social platforms.

  • Partner with the corporate communications team to monitor reputation, media coverage, and emerging issues to proactively manage public perception and response.

  • Manage department marcom budget and expense planning in accordance with annual communication and event calendar.

  • Build a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning and strong cross-functional teamwork.

  • Supports new market focused brands using agreed Brand Model: Target, Value Proposition, Brand Identity.

  • Independently develops channel plans that align with marketing objectives, audience behaviors, and engagement goals across the communication mix

  • Creates and manages content programs, implements cross-channel distribution strategies, and ensures message consistency.

  • Develops and implements channel effectiveness metrics, analyzes engagement patterns, and identifies optimization opportunities.

  • Provides oversight of digital analytics, reporting, and effectiveness metrics to monitor conversion performance, uncover optimization opportunities, and drive improvements in lead quality and pipeline velocity.

  • Leads the development of targeted engagement strategies and oversees digital content and social media initiatives across corporate platforms and online channels.

  • Hires, onboards, and manages performance for a small team of individual contributors.

  • Provides regular coaching and feedback to build team members' skills and support career development.

  • Sets team priorities and workload in alignment with department goals.

  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Education

    • Bachelors Degree in Communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, life science or business administration and 8+ years of relevant experience.



  • 8-12 years in marketing communications, brand management, or campaign management within B2B industries.

  • Experience working for a global company in life science, agriculture is preferred.

  • Solid experience leading brand, campaign, collateral, or event programs across multiple channels.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into regional/BU campaigns and programs with measurable outcomes.

  • Experience with lead generation and media/public relationship management.

  • Proven ability to lead and develop a small team while managing external agency partners.

  • Solid analytics and performance measurement skills for campaigns, collateral, channels, or events.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and build effective relationships in a matrix organization.

  • Develops brand architecture and constituent brand strategies within a market sector, including brand architecture, portfolio, and naming conventions.

  • Supports new market focused brands using agreed Brand Model: Target, Value Proposition, Brand Identity.

  • Must have the ability to travel up to 30%.
