Position Summary
Reporting to the Global Director of Brand Marketing, the Senior Brand Manager will serve as the champion of the Mainstream Portfolio, highlighted by Bread & Butter Wines.
The Senior Brand Manager will support the Marketing Director in developing global brand strategies and leading business initiatives with the support of dynamic cross-functional teams.
The Senior Brand Manager is also responsible for all digital media in the US & Canada for this brand, including awareness and conversion strategy & execution. Influencer strategy & execution is also key.
Key focus areas include, but are not limited to:
• Playing a leadership role in Bread & Butter's ambition to be a top 20 US wine brand
• Acting as a brand expert in the company with ownership of brand positioning and target consumer articulation for Bread & Butter and other priority brands
• Internal & External Brand Champion: Leveraging excellent presentation and story-telling skills, passion and energy to be the primary advocate for the brand internally (management presentations, sales meetings etc.) and externally (e.g. in front of key customers, PR events etc.).
• Supporting Marketing Director in evaluation of all marketing activity to determine ROI and effectiveness of activity and help the organization understand how activity builds long term brand equity
• Manage digital media strategies to strengthen purchase funnel. Creating and ensuring agencies are accountable to their key performance indicators is a priority, along with assessing ROI.
• Development of long-term brand growth plan and annual business plans
• Key role in the management of all outside agency initiatives in support of the brands' business objectives including, but not limited to, advertising, media, experiential, programming, packaging, and public relations agencies where applicable
• Shared responsibility for the delivery of volume, share and profit objectives consistent with overall brand strategy, with P&L accountability for bottom line profitability
• Leading brand business analysis efforts. Continuously monitors business and brand health performance using internal and external data resources to identify issues and opportunities to drive both brand development and volume performance, and to deliver actionable insights.
• Acting as internal liaison with cross functional teams, including but not limited to: Winemaking, Production, Legal, Compliance, Sales, Pricing and S&OP.
• Supporting the long-term innovation strategy of the brand and leading the execution and go to market strategy of all new product introductions.
• Developing actionable insights from depletion & scan data on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Partner with the Bread & Butter Tasting Room team to elevate awareness of the tasting room while increasing visitation and sales revenue through various channels.
• Manage Marketing Specialist for Bread & Butter.
Requirements (Education & Experiences)
• Bachelor's Degree in related field required; Master's Degree preferred.
• 7+ years of brand marketing experience, ideally in the CPG industry.
• Strong understanding of the 3-tiered distribution system and a passion for and desire to be immersed in the wine business.
• Demonstrated success in developing and inspiring junior-level talent.
• Passion for building brands and proven track-record of breakthrough consumer advertising, retail activation, and media execution.
• Proven success partnering with sales teams & mobilizing to achieve business goals.
• Able to mobilize agencies around an inspiring vision and focused briefs/feedback.
• Experience working with syndicated data sources (Circana/Nielsen) to make informed decisions.
• Business acumen and strong analytical skills with a proven track record of utilizing trend analysis and quantitative data to produce actionable insights, financial and P&L understanding.
