Senior Project Manager

North Point Technology is looking to hire a Senior Project Manager. This role leads delivery of large, higher-risk, mission-critical enterprise programs for a global automotive and industrial manufacturing client, managing scope, cost, and schedule through the full project lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple projects by planning, directing, facilitating, and coordinating all project-related activities and resources
  • Identify, manage, and coordinate IT and business resources to build a high-performing project team
  • Prepare project plans, task plans, effort estimates, schedules, and task dependencies
  • Build and maintain customer relationships that support business goals and objectives
  • Facilitate and document charters, requirements, and project documentation through final approval
  • Facilitate the testing approach and manage integration and UAT testing
  • Manage project issues to closure with creative resolution documented on an issues log
  • Oversee development of proposals and RFPs, and manage vendor and procurement relationships for the program
  • Develop and manage effective change management plans
  • Facilitate status meetings and report project status in a way that fosters communication
  • Track and forecast project financials for accurate accounting
  • Maintain lessons-learned documentation for use on future programs
  • Contribute to development of PMO processes, procedures, and project management standards

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 5-7 years in project management or related professional experience
  • Prior project management and leadership roles of increasing responsibility in a comparably sized organization
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
  • Proficiency in relevant project management and business applications
  • Fluent English (reading, writing, and speaking)

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification
  • PgMP certification or training
  • Experience with project management tools such as Clarity, Open Workbench, or MS Project
  • Second language relevant to assigned country or region

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated on-time, on-budget delivery of complex projects
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams within a formal PM methodology
  • Full software development lifecycle experience across multiple end-to-end projects
  • Experience in a global manufacturing environment
  • Strong project financial management and familiarity with organizational change management
  • Highly organized with strong facilitation, relationship-building, and communication skills
