This position is for our Kindle Content Experience team, whose mission is to provide superior reading experience for all eBooks on Kindle devices and applications by partnering with publishers and authors. We strive to build and enhance mechanisms to enable publishers and authors create eBooks with the right layouts, typography and fonts for a great and coherent experience across devices.
As a Senior Product Manager (Technical), you will define, execute, and deliver a product roadmap with the goal of earning the trust of our publishers and authors to deliver the best experience for our reading customers. You will strongly influence the strategy and vision for the group. You will develop and look after product roadmaps and features based on team strategy and vision. This role is inherently cross-functional you will work closely with engineering, business, operations, vendor management and executive teams to launch features and build tools and mechanisms. A successful candidate will be highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively in a matrix organization, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into high quality, simple product, features and applications.
Key job responsibilities
• Assist in driving and delivering the best content experience on all Kindle surfaces.
• Lead cross-functional teams (engineering, UX, research, etc.) across Amazon and Books to deliver projects on time.
• Support in defining strategic, creative, high quality product roadmaps based on team strategy and vision supported by internal and external analysis.
• Learn from customer feedback, behavioral measurements, and other data sources to craft better experiences and ensure we are building the right features over time.
• Role is global in nature and will work with teams in other countries.
About the team
The KINEX (Kindle Experience) team owns the overall experience for the Kindle for iOS app, Kindle for Android app, FireOS, E-reader, Kindle for web, PC/Mac, Kindle File Format for Books & Documents, Content Experiences and Publisher Tools. This includes much of the experience you see on the app (Library, Home, Settings, Insights, etc.) and inside of the book (Core content presentation, Audio books consumption, Aa menu, other chrome), but does not include Store detail page/search and the publishing and subscription side of the business (KDP, KU, etc.).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA, or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or equivalent
- Experience in technical product management, program management or engineering
- Experience in written and verbal communication with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non-technical leaders
- Experience delivering technology products or services in a high growth environment
- Passion for reading

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
