Job description

The Senior Materials Manager leads inventory accuracy, control, and movement across high-volume operations. This role ensures efficient, compliant processes that support production, fulfillment, and customer SLAs. You will partner cross-functionally with Procurement, Planning, and Operations to drive performance, reduce WIP aging, and continuously improve materials flow.
This is an onsite role in our Irving TX Facility.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this role?
  • Lead inventory control strategy across receiving, storage, movement, cycle counting, and shipping
  • Ensure accuracy, traceability, and compliance of serialized inventory
  • Optimize WIP flow and reduce inventory aging through process improvements and re-slotting
  • Partner with Procurement and Planning to meet customer SLAs and demand requirements
  • Establish and track KPIs; analyze performance and implement corrective actions
  • Build and maintain scalable processes, controls, and reporting
  • Manage budgets, staffing, and organizational performance for materials function
  • Lead, develop, and coach managers and team members; drive accountability and results
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support operational goals and business growth

What are the requirements needed for this role?
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 9+ years in materials/inventory control in high-volume manufacturing or repair environments (8,000+ SKUs)
  • 7+ years leadership experience, including managing managers
  • Experience with end-to-end supply chain: procurement, planning, inventory control, and distribution
  • Proven track record managing serialized inventory and leading physical inventories
  • Strong data analysis skills (advanced Excel required)
  • Background in logistics, warehousing, and shipping operations

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
  • Oracle ERP experience (especially reverse logistics/remanufacturing)
  • Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, WIP management, and planning
  • Lean/Six Sigma experience
  • APICS/CPIM certification
  • Experience in high-change, deadline-driven environments

Pay Range:
$88,000.00 - $147,000.00
Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
