Position Summary
  • The Inventory Administrative Assistant will be responsible for ensuring accurate destruction records and supporting inventory control activities across the supply chain. This role provides administrative support, manages data entry and reporting, and collaborates with internal teams to maintain inventory integrity and timely process execution

Schedule
Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 5:00pm.
100% On-site position
Responsibilities and Essential Duties
  • Maintain and update multiple spreadsheets within the BMSC SharePoint system.
  • Create, track, and route destruction memos in the Excess & Obsolete (E&O) tracker.
  • Distribute monthly E&O / Inventory reports to cross-functional teams.
  • Generate and share monthly customer inventory reports.
  • Follow up with Sales each month regarding pending customer liability approvals.
  • Report discrepancies in rejected quantities or status codes to the Quality team for resolution.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving inventory variances and other stock-related issues.
  • Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and production teams regarding rejected inventory, order status, and any discrepancies.
  • Support special projects assigned by the Senior Inventory Project Manager or Supply Chain leadership.

Technical Skills Required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • PDF management (Adobe Acrobat)
  • Experience with ERP systems, particularly Sage X3.

Experience Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in inventory control, administrative support, or related field.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements
  • Regularly sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to sit, balance, climb, stand, bend, squat, squeeze, kneel, turn, crouch and stoop repeatedly.
  • Physically able to lift 25 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Frequent exposure to varying temperatures, loud noises, heavy machinery, fumes, or airborne particles, electrical, chemicals and moving parts.
  • Prolonged use of computer screen and/or scan gun.
