Basic Function: The Senior Warehouse Supervisor - Parts is responsible for overseeing all operations related to the storage, handling, and distribution of service parts and components. This role ensures accurate tracking and timely fulfillment of parts orders to support internal service teams or external customers, in accordance with company standards for quality, safety, and efficiency.

Essential Functions:

  • Partners with other managers and supervisors, as appropriate, to establish department goals, work objectives, and operational priorities aligned with business needs.
  • Leads the development and implementation of efficient parts picking, storage, and distribution processes.
  • Supports and executes approved operational plans through clear communication, follow-through, and coordination with appropriate warehouse personnel.
  • Provides direction, guidance, and oversight of parts operations to ensure:
    • Accurate picking and timely shipping of parts.
    • Proper labeling, organization, and storage of parts inventory.
    • Support of inventory control processes for high-usage and critical parts, including regular cycle counts.
  • Monitors and analyzes warehouse and parts performance indicators, identifies operational gaps or trends, and implements improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and service levels.
  • Enforces safety protocols and maintains a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment; ensures compliance with OSHA regulations and company standards.
  • Serves as a key operational partner to supply chain, sales, inventory control, and other departments to align parts availability with demand, resolve issues, and support business goals.
  • Exercises sound independent judgment in prioritizing work, allocating labor resources, resolving operational issues, and balancing service, safety, and productivity needs.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact and decision-maker for the Distribution Center in the absence of the department leadership.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints; and resolving problems.
  • Provides leadership, coaching, and development to warehouse staff to build capability, reinforce accountability, and support team performance and continuity.
  • Keeps supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems, and all related information necessary for effective management.
  • Attends training as determined from GNE.
  • Performs related work as apparent or assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of general warehouse experience.
  • At least 1 year of related supervisory experience.
  • Strong people skills with ability to relate to people's needs and concerns while still being able to accomplish the Company's goals.
  • Proven ability to manage more than one function and to provide work direction to others.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Must exhibit strong leadership and sound decision-making qualities.
  • Ability to relate well to others and gain the respect of employees.
  • Solid PC skills, spreadsheet development abilities and working knowledge of designated software.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a wide variety of Company personnel and others.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with safety training and compliance (forklift, OSHA).
  • Experience with small package and/or LTL shipping.

Preferred

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business administration, management, or other appropriate field.
  • Experience with company with high Sku count and multiple divisions and warehouse zones strongly preferred.
  • First aid/CPR certification.
