Job description

INVENTORY AUDITING | SMALL PORTIONS, PRE-DETERMINED SCHEDULE.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Under the direct supervision of the Inventory Supervisor, this role monitors warehouse inventory and performs cycle counting duties to help ensure materials are properly verified and match reported inventory. You will count, research, document, and communicate inventory discrepancies while supporting accurate inventory movement across the warehouse.

This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys counting, organization, accuracy, and helping teammates stay on track. The role also supports workflow, training, process improvement, and garment pulling as needed.

PAY + SCHEDULE

Location: Detroit Lakes, MN. This is a full-time, onsite inventory role.

Day Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM.

Night Shift: Monday-Thursday, 4:00 PM-2:00 AM.

Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour, based on shift.

Growth: This role can build skills in inventory auditing, cycle counting, inventory accuracy, team workflow, software use, process improvement, and warehouse organization. Advancement opportunities vary by department and business need.

A TYPICAL DAY

  • Assign daily workflow to the cycle counting group and helpmaintain steady, accurate progress toward team goals.
  • Coordinate training for cycle counting teammates and support understanding of job responsibilities, safety, and company policy.
  • Perform daily cycle counts, open boxes, count items, and use software to process inventory counts.
  • Ensure materials are in proper locations and search for misclassified or missing inventory when needed.
  • Report overages, shortages, damaged garments, errors, and process concerns to the Inventory Supervisor.
  • Communicate process enhancements and work with teammates to achieve positive department results.
  • Pull garment orders for production teams as needed and verify correct garment, color, and sizes by weighing or counting.
  • Maintainclear aisles, clean work areas, organized racks, 6S standards, and support special projects or other duties as assigned.

SKILLS

  • Able to assess needs, prioritize work, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Train the Trainer Program and LEAD workshop completion preferred but notrequired.
  • Able to communicate effectively, coach coworkers, and work well independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but notrequired.
  • Accurate, detail-oriented, and able to count efficiently and consistently.
  • Self-directed, self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable with repetitive tasks.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Excel and Word; able to learn new software quickly.
  • Able to be on your feet for 8 to 10 hours per day.

Employee must be able to read, write, understand, and follow work instructions, inventory information, software processes, and safety procedures. This role requires accuracy, adaptability, analysis, calculation, communication, dependability, judgment, reasoning, and prioritization.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

CONTINUOUSLY: Stand, walk, reach, count, lift and carry materials under 10 lbs., and reach at or below shoulder height while working in the warehouse.

FREQUENTLY: Lift, carry, pull, bend, twist, reach above shoulder height, and move materials weighing 10-50 lbs. while counting, searching, pulling, and organizing inventory.

OCCASIONALLY: Sit, push, and move materials weighing more than 50 lbs. with assistance or appropriate equipment when available.

NEVER: Climb, balance, or crawl as an essential function of the role.
