Job description

We are seeking to add a Senior Inventory Control Coordinator who is responsible for assuring the timely distribution of transfer orders in accordance with internal procedures by pulling materials for orders and delivering where needed. S/he may assist with training and observing lower-level associates.

Headquartered in San Diego, with operations across North America, Europe, and Asia, Invivoscribe develops and manufactures a comprehensive portfolio of molecular and flow cytometry assays, reagents, controls, and bioinformatics tools under ISO 13485 design control. Our products and services support more than 700 clinical laboratories in over 160 countries.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the distribution of workload; ensuring transfers orders, material requests, and put-aways are handled in accordance with SOP’s and that department benchmarks are met.
  • Ensures materials are sequestered for designated use (i.e.: projects, studies, etc.)
  • Ensures non-conforming materials remain segregated and labeled in accordance to SOP until dispositioned.
  • Maintains cold storage and warehouse storage naming convention in accordance with department procedures; initiates creation and deletion of locations to ensure ERP and physical locations are accurate.
  • Contributes to maintaining Cycle Count program; creating required count listing sheets, assigning cycle counts to various designees and correcting inventory discrepancies as directed.
  • Creates NCMR’s and Process Deviations to ensure proper disposition of material in accordance with our Quality procedures.
  • Processes transfer orders via ERP system. Fulfills transfer orders from requesting department to move material from Quarantine to Approved status in accordance with SOP.
  • Ensures preventative maintenance such as scraping, defrosting is performed on cold storage equipment.
  • Works with the Purchasing department in the maintenance of the general inventory, adjusting the PAR and Max inventory levels as consumption rates change.
  • Assists with internal and external audits.

Core Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and, typically, 4+ years of applicable experience, to include 2+ years of experience with ISO 13485 or other similarly regulated industry. Associate’s degree, related certificate or related course of studies is advantageous. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Applied experience in an ERP system; Oracle Cloud is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) and the ability to learn new software programs to include Oracle ERP system.
