We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team at KHS, a leading manufacturing company. The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in managing the company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting of financial statements. This position requires a strong background in accounting, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Your Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.
    • Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all accounts are accurately reconciled, and financial transactions are recorded properly.
    • Manage the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial results.
    • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to support management in decision-making.
    • Review and analyze manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, and cost of goods sold (COGS) to ensure accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
    • Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
    • Perform sales tax reconciliations and ensure accuracy of related accounts; sales tax filing is managed separately.
    • Collaborate with internal departments, including operations, procurement, and sales, to gather necessary data for financial reporting.
    • Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations for financial reports.
    • Monitor cash flow and ensure proper controls are in place for the company’s financial transactions.
    • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and software to improve efficiency and accuracy.
    • Lead and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and work with management to implement best practices.

Your Profile:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred).
    • Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years in a senior or supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
    • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
    • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis tools.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting, inventory management, and COGS analysis is highly preferred.
