AGE Solutions is seeking a Senior Intelligent Automation & AI Engineer to serve as a senior technical advisor supporting Department of Defense cybersecurity modernization initiatives. The successful candidate will provide independent technical analysis, architectural guidance, modernization recommendations, and executive decision support while identifying, evaluating, and implementing intelligent automation, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and emerging technologies that improve Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes, reduce manual effort, and enhance mission effectiveness.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Serve as a senior technical advisor supporting enterprise automation and AI modernization initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to automate RMF, Authorization & Assessment (A&A), and cybersecurity workflows using intelligent automation technologies.
  • Evaluate Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Large Language Models (LLMs), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) technologies for use within DoD environments.
  • Analyze existing cybersecurity processes and recommend automation solutions that improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and accelerate mission execution.
  • Evaluate Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS), Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), and emerging technology solutions for technical feasibility and mission applicability.
  • Support vendor demonstrations, proof-of-concept evaluations, and technical assessments to validate capabilities and implementation approaches.
  • Develop automation strategies, implementation roadmaps, and technical recommendations supporting enterprise modernization initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Government stakeholders to identify integration opportunities across enterprise systems and cybersecurity platforms.
  • Support implementation of workflow automation using platforms such as ServiceNow, Microsoft Power Platform, APIs, and related automation technologies.
  • Develop executive briefings, technical reports, and recommendations supporting Government decision-making.
  • Remain current on emerging AI, automation, and cybersecurity technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience with Business Process Automation and Business Process Reengineering (BPR).

Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree

Certifications:

  • DoD 8140/8570 IAT/IAM Level III certification (or higher)

Clearance:

  • Must have and maintain a current DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of hands-on technical experience in cybersecurity engineering, security architecture, systems engineering, or DevSecOps.
  • Demonstrated experience with two (2) or more of the following: tool/platform evaluation and rationalization, workflow automation engineering, AI/ML solution design and implementation, cloud architecture, or RMF/ATO process modernization.
  • Demonstrated hands-on technical knowledge of one or more current Government risk management tools and modern SharePoint/Power Platform environments.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of the DoD Risk Management Framework as defined in NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI-1253, DoDI 8500.01, and DoDI 8510.01, as well as familiarity with continuous ATO (cATO) and Zero Trust reference architectures.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of current AI/ML and Generative AI capabilities, automation technologies (RPA, workflow engines), and integration patterns (APIs, event-driven architectures) relevant to enterprise risk management.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Visio (architecture and workflow modeling) and Microsoft PowerPoint (executive-quality briefings).
  • Strong analytical, technical writing, and executive communication skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts for executive audiences and to credibly analyze and validate vendor technical claims.
  • Experience briefing senior Government leadership, including SES or equivalent executives.

Location:

  • This is a hybrid position. Must be able to travel periodically to Fort Meade, MD and Chambersburg, PA to support customer meetings, workshops, and program activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting DISA or other Department of Defense cybersecurity organizations.
  • Experience implementing AI-enabled solutions within secure or classified environments.
  • Experience supporting RMF modernization, Cloud A&A, DevSecOps, or Zero Trust initiatives.
  • Experience in integrating automation tools with enterprise cybersecurity platforms.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow workflow development, Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI, and enterprise APIs.
  • ITIL 4 Foundation or higher.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.

The projected salary range for this position is $165,000+ annually. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including years of relevant experience, active security clearance level, certifications, technical skillset, contract requirements, and overall qualifications.
