Be the Technical Accounting Expert Behind Complex Insurance Reporting
If you’re an insurance accounting professional who thrives on technical research, statutory reporting, and solving complex reconciliation issues, this role offers the opportunity to operate as a true subject matter expert. You’ll work directly with auditors, regulators, and leadership while driving reporting accuracy, strengthening controls, and improving financial processes across a dynamic insurance environment. This is a high-visibility opportunity for someone who enjoys ownership, analytical problem-solving, and operating beyond transactional accounting.

What You’ll Do:
  • Review and analyze statutory filings, financial statements, and supplemental schedules
  • Lead complex investment, cash, and general ledger reconciliations across multiple data sources
  • Research and interpret NAIC SAP guidance, regulatory changes, and technical accounting matters
  • Partner with auditors, regulators, and leadership on reporting, compliance, and audit support
  • Improve reporting processes, controls, and audit readiness through process enhancement initiatives
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of insurance accounting experience with strong NAIC SAP exposure (required)
  • Experience with statutory reporting, audits, regulator interaction, and complex reconciliations
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivots, lookups, formulas, and large data analysis
  • Strong technical accounting research, analytical, and problem-solving ability
  • Proven ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and manage multiple deadlines
