Senior Accountant, Financial Accounting
Investors Title Insurance Company
Morrisville, NC (hybrid or remote in NC)
We're seeking a Senior Accountant to support key financial accounting functions with a strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and continuous process improvement. This role plays an important part in the monthly close process and owns several complex accounting areas, making it a great fit for someone who enjoys both detailed accounting work and improving how processes operate in a growing organization.

What You'll Do
Participate in the monthly financial close, including preparing journal entries, performing reconciliations, and supporting close processes
Compile, analyze, and validate financial data to ensure accurate and timely reporting
Research, track, and resolve reconciliation discrepancies and documentation issues
Maintain accurate supporting documentation in compliance with internal controls and policies
Own and manage assigned accounting functions, including lease accounting, fixed assets, and investment accounting
Manage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, asset controls, reconciliations, and annual inventory processes
Support bank account reconciliations and assist with investment accounting activities as needed
Respond to audit requests and support internal and external audits
Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives related to financial close and reporting
Uphold internal controls and recommend enhancements where opportunities exist
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
CPA or CPA candidate preferred
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience
Experience designing and optimizing accounting workflows and processes
Experience supporting growing organizations through scalable accounting operations
Experience applying technology to solve business challenges
Experience in multi-company or divisional environments
Insurance industry experience a plus
Strong leadership skills with high ethical standards and integrity
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities
