Job Description

The Marketing Operations & Innovation Manager is a strategic operational leader responsible for driving efficiency, integration, and innovation across BOK Financial's marketing technology ecosystem. This role serves as the primary product owner for Optimizely CMP and Salesforce within the marketing organization. This position bridges marketing strategy and technology execution by owning platform product roadmaps, championing operational efficiencies through innovative tools and emerging technologies, and ensuring seamless data flow across the marketing technology stack.

The role combines deep technical fluency with a systems-thinking mindset, strong stakeholder management skills, and a continuous improvement orientation that drives measurable gains in how marketing operates.

How You'll Spend Your Time
  • You'll develop plans to ensure data and process integration of systems that support vital marketing processes.
  • You'll define and document business requirements, translate marketing's business requirements to IT, and advocate for marketing technology needs.
  • You'll develop and manage user training and implementation of new marketing software.
  • You'll deliver effective change management and communications for technology implementation and process re-engineering within marketing.
Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field and 7-10 years of experience in marketing operations, marketing technology, digital marketing, or related field, including 3-5 years in leadership or senior specialist roles managing complex marketing technology environments and/or 9-12 years of equivalent work experience in marketing technology and operations with demonstrated innovation leadership.

  • Deep knowledge of the marketing technology ecosystem including CMP/workflow management tools, CRM (Salesforce preferred), marketing automation (Marketo, Adobe Campaign, or similar), analytics platforms, and content management systems. Hands-on experience configuring, optimizing, and troubleshooting martech platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to own a platform end-to-end, including roadmap definition, governance, vendor management, stakeholder communication, and adoption strategy. Optimizely experience a strong plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of Salesforce CRM and its integration with marketing automation platforms.
  • Proven ability to understand and document complex data flows across multiple systems, identify integration gaps, and work with IT to implement solutions. Experience with APIs, middleware, and iPaaS tools (Zapier, Workato, MuleSoft, or similar).
  • Strong technical aptitude with understanding of data architecture, database concepts, SQL/databases, HTML/CSS, and marketing technology architecture. Ability to work effectively with IT teams on technical requirements and implementations.
  • Proven ability to analyze marketing workflows, identify improvement opportunities, and implement solutions that drive operational efficiency. Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma.
  • Curiosity and working knowledge of emerging marketing technologies and AI-adjacent tools that can generate operational efficiencies. Track record of evaluating and piloting new technologies in a structured way.
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Experience developing documentation, SOPs, and stakeholder-facing materials.
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills. Experience managing relationships with technology vendors, overseeing contracts, and ensuring vendor accountability.
