Job description

Position Summary
This position will require learning and teaching machinery safety, machinery operation, machinery set-up & shut down, as well as ancillary functions in the molding department. This person will be responsible for their team following specific manufacturing procedures to complete tasks. Must be a self-starter who can work well under pressure, set daily production goals for the team, teach and train on a wide range of tasks so when one task is finished move onto another, and continually look for areas of improvement.
Duties
Primary Responsibilities include monitoring day to day and ensure a safe working environment.
Work closely with Quality Assurance to ensure all machines are producing parts within quality standards.
Responsible for all aspects of production machines running to standard, machine efficiencies and downtime.
Implement company policies including Good Manufacturing Practices and safety, and other regulatory requirements.
Responsible for the direction and training of all production and technical team members.
Responsible for the ongoing development of a team environment.
Assist with corrective action and related documentation.
Prepare scheduled of production and technical team members.
Oversee department housekeeping.
Determine appropriate internal and external assistance that may be required by the department.
Must be a team player.
Works in a team environment with all levels of the organization.
Able to organize line staff to carry out the daily work orders with the highest level of quality, while efficiently and safely produced.
General Cleaning as needed:
• Empty trash
• Clean work area daily
• Clean shop equipment
• Sweep, mop, and wipe down area

Education Degree
  • High School Diploma or GED

Required Experience
Three to Five years experience in a production/manufacturing environment
Preferred Experience
One year experience in an Injection Molding and/or Extrusion environment strongly preferred
Able to organize line staff to carry out daily work orders with the highest level of quality, while efficiently and safely produced
Must have good communication skills when working with others
Experience with Microsoft Office strongly preferred
Must be able to stand or walk for an 8 hour period and achieve production goals
Must be able to lift 40lbs
Manufacturing and/or Machine Technology coursework preferred
Ability to write legibly, read, write, and speak English, and perform basic math functions are necessary.
Skills
Pay range for this opportunity is $22.68 - $29.35. This position is eligible for bonus participation.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
