Job Title: Sr. Infrastructure Project Manager Location-Type: Hybrid, 3 days onsite, Boston, MA Start Date: ASAP Duration: Contract, 12 months Compensation Range: $80-90/hr W2 Benefits: Eligible for Health, Dental, Vision, and 401K Visa Sponsorship: Not eligible for visa sponsorship Job Description: The client is seeking a highly experienced Sr. Infrastructure Project Manager to lead the planning and delivery of large-scale, complex IT infrastructure initiatives that support the organization's strategic priorities. Job Summary Lead multiple large-scale infrastructure and enterprise IT projects from planning through execution and delivery. Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, milestones, risks, and resource planning across cross-functional teams. Coordinate infrastructure initiatives including network deployments, cabling, telecom, fiber, device lifecycle programs, and UPS replacement projects. Serve as the primary liaison between infrastructure teams, business stakeholders, executive leadership, vendors, and contractors. Oversee third-party vendors responsible for network installations, construction technology, telecommunications, and infrastructure projects. Manage financial oversight including forecasting, budgeting, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Develop project documentation, lessons learned, and post-implementation reviews to ensure continuous improvement. Minimum Requirements: 8-10 years of IT Project Management experience leading large, enterprise-level infrastructure initiatives in matrixed organizations. Proven experience managing project budgets, timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation. Strong stakeholder management experience, including executive-level communication and presentation. Expertise in both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies. Proficiency with project management tools including MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, and ServiceNow. Infrastructure project experience spanning network infrastructure, fiber, copper and coaxial cabling, and telecommunications. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications: PMP, Agile, or PRINCE2 certification. RCDD certification, or Inactive RCDD, RCDD LAN Specialist, Installer, or Technician certification. Experience with Device Lifecycle Management programs, enterprise asset management, and hardware refresh initiatives. Knowledge of UPS systems and multi-year battery replacement programs across large building portfolios. Familiarity with BICSI standards and construction or facilities infrastructure environments. Experience in higher education or university IT environments. Master's degree in a related field.
