Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is accepting application for a Manager of Housing Operations. Reporting to the Assistant Dean and Director of Housing and Residence Life, the Manager of Housing Operations oversees the strategic and daily management of housing processes, including occupancy, assignments, and billing. The role also contributes to budget forecasting and long-term planning for residential operations. This position ensures efficient, student-focused housing services
This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA) and holds the responsibility of serving as a mandatory reporter for all Clery Act crimes.

Responsibilities
  • Manages and executes the university's residence hall occupancy plan. Maintains accurate records of housing occupancy and billing for internal and external use. Ensures correct housing and meal plan charges are applied to student accounts by reconciling data between Banner and StarRez. Processes housing contract forms, including new contracts and cancellations. Oversees daily housing assignments and occupancy coordination.
  • Creates and maintains market-specific publications, the Housing and Residence Life website, residence life email box, portal page, handbook, and protocols. Coordinates targeted communications to incoming and current residents, including key information for move-in and move-out periods.
  • Coordinates housing contract appeals committee meetings, including student communications, gathering appeal documentation, and processing fee adjustments as needed.
    Collaborates with campus partners in Student Engagement and Success, Enrollment Management, and Business and Finance who serve on the committee.
  • Contributes to the development of the annual budget and proposals for the upcoming fiscal year.
  • Supports the Assistant Dean and Director of Housing and Residence Life and Executive Director of Auxiliary Services in developing and implementing short- and long-term asset reserve plans for the renovation and refurbishment of facilities, furniture, and inventory.
  • Assists with front desk operations, including responding to student and parent walk-ins, phone calls, and email inquiries related to housing contracts and room changes.
  • Maintains student housing records in Banner, StarRez, and Genetec/Persona systems. Assists with housing assignments and billing for summer camps and conferences.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, hotel management, guidance and counseling, student affairs administration, social sciences or related field required
  • Experience with Housing and Residence Life, Banner, and experience managing StarRez housing management platform.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in student affairs, higher educational administration, counseling, business administration, or related field preferred.

Proposed Salary
  • The proposed salary is: $22.79-$25.07 hour.
