Job Description

Investment Management Associate - Senior Housing Team

The Investment Management Associate will be an integral member of the Investment Management team, supporting the oversight of Landmark's existing portfolio of senior housing assets while evaluating and underwriting acquisition opportunities nationwide. The role will also play a key part in strengthening and expanding relationships with Landmark's capital partners. Through rigorous financial analysis, reporting, and transaction support, this position will contribute directly to the execution and continued success of the senior housing investment strategy.

Reports to: Senior Director - Investment Management

Duties/Responsibilities: The duties listed below are an outline of the role's responsibilities and should not be considered an all-inclusive list. As the needs of the organization change, these duties may be modified as needed.

  • Underwrite senior housing investment opportunities, including acquisitions, developments, recapitalizations, and platform investments.
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate propertylevel and portfoliolevel returns and support investment recommendations.
  • Support the management of Landmark's existing senior housing portfolio, including hold/sell/refinance analyses.
  • Facilitate due diligence efforts for complex transactions, coordinating with internal teams and thirdparty consultants.
  • Assist in the development of investment templates, underwriting assumptions, and processes as the senior housing strategy is established.
  • Prepare investment memoranda, presentations, and supporting materials for senior leadership and the Investment Committee.
  • Collaborate with Asset Management, operations teams, and equity partners on budgeting, business planning, and valuecreation initiatives.
  • Support capital raising and capital markets initiatives by assisting with investor reporting and maintaining relationships with equity and debt partners.
  • Participate in site visits, conferences, and other planned travel related to investment activity.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Approximately 1-3 years of relevant experience in real estate, private equity, investment banking, or a related investment role.
  • Senior housing experience is preferred but not required; candidates with strong fundamentals and exposure to other asset classes will be considered.
  • Demonstrated handson financial modeling experience.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Strong financial modeling skills, including pro forma analysis and cash flow projections.
  • Solid understanding of real estate investment concepts, including IRR, ROI, and riskadjusted returns.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage beyond a "numbersonly" role.
  • Highly motivated, entrepreneurial selfstarter comfortable working in a less structured, fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, ask thoughtful questions, and collaborate closely with leadership.
