DeepSight Technology Inc. is seeking a technical problem solver to join our St Louis, MO team as a full-time Senior Electrical Engineer. We create medicalโ€‘grade imaging tools, and we need a meticulous person to design, test, and troubleshoot printed circuit boards (PCBs) for complex imaging purposes. REQUIREMENTS FOR OUR SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
  • BS in electrical engineering or a related technical field
  • 5+ years of industry experience, preferably in a regulated field such as medical, automotive, or aerospace
  • Handsโ€‘on experience with SPICE or a similar circuit simulation tool
  • Proven experience working with FPGAs and/or Microcontrollers
  • Advanced experience with highโ€‘speed oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and data acquisition boards
  • Expertโ€‘level proficiency in CAD layout tools, specifically Altium Designer
  • Proficiency in Python for hardware automation and data collection

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Our Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing PCBs, testing functionality, and fixing any issues to get the hardware working perfectly. You'll oversee the entire hardware lifecycle, from the initial design and product simulation to fabrication and assembly, taking care of any problems and making sure everything is up to spec. This role involves:

  • Managing hardware inventory and making sure we have all the parts for builds
  • Ensuring all circuit boards meet the requirements and specifications outlined in the design control process
  • Conducting verification and validation (V&V) activities to make sure the boards meet medical imaging safety and performance standards
  • Creating technical documents and formal verification reports
  • Using various lab instruments (oscilloscopes, DAQ systems, etc.) to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
  • Accurately characterizing microelectronic systems, including those involving FPGAs and microcontrollers
