Job description

Responsibilities As a Senior Aerospace Engineer with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following: * Be the engineering lead in support of flight control system development; aircraft modeling and simulation; analysis of aircraft flight dynamics; and ground and flight test support.
* Design, development, integration, and test of aircraft flight control systems and autopilots
* Develop, integrate, and validate models of aircraft flight dynamics and subsystems such as payloads, engines, transmissions, flight control components, and sensors
* Support lab, ground, and flight qualification testing of aircraft avionics, sensors, and flight control systems
* Mentor more junior engineers #recruitingsurge Qualifications * Active or the ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance after hiring (requires US Citizenship)
* U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance * Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering
* At least 7 years of experience to include development and/or refinement of flight dynamics models; work with flight test data to include flight test support and flight data analysis, and/or familiarity with aircraft performance, aerodynamic design, non-linear system identification, and flight control system design and analysis.
* Excellent documentation and report writing skills are essential for this position.
