POSITION TITLE:ย Development Coordinatorย 

REPORTS TO: Senior Director of Philanthropic Engagement, Central Division

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:ย Noneย 

LOCATION:ย Near an ADL office in the Central Divisionย 

Grade/Class:ย Grade C, Non-Exempt, Non-Unionย

PRIMARY FUNCTION:ย 

Provideย a broad range of administrative and project management support to the Senior Director, Philanthropic Engagement and the Central Division Development team.ย 

Responsibilities

Primary:ย 

  • Support the Development team inย all ofย the efforts that go into securing support from individual donors.ย 
  • Assist Development team with Salesforce database entries, routinely update and correct database records.ย 
  • Spearhead project management for the Development team.ย 
  • Support the coordination of requests from the Donor Experience and Philanthropic Service team - especially as relates to regional or divisional events, stewardship, etc.ย ย 
  • Secure fundraising reports and other database reports as requested by Development team.ย 
  • Conduct preliminary research on prospective corporate foundation and individual donors.ย 
  • Handle administrative details associated with development-related volunteer leadership committees or donor meetings.ย 
  • Assistย with the adaptation of donor-facing materials, adapting communications from stewardship and other functionsย 
  • Provide administrative support for travel arrangements, meeting preparation, donor meeting scheduling, expense reports, etc.ย ย 
  • Maintain a positive, professional work atmosphere by communicating in a manner that fosters teamwork with colleagues.ย 

Secondary:ย ย 

  • Support fundraising events on event-day and other event prep duties as requested.ย 
  • Assistย with gift processing to support theย accurateย and prompt recording of donations.ย

Qualifications

Skills:ย 

  • Strong interpersonal skills and good oral and written presentation skills are needed.ย 
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills including the ability to manage multiple projects.ย 
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task to complete projects on deadline.ย ย 
  • Strong computer skills (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), analytical and interpersonal skills.ย ย 
  • Know and understand Salesforce and other online platforms.ย 
  • Exceptional attention to detail.ย ย 

Work Experience:ย 

  • The ideal candidate has several years of development team administrative or project management experience or relevant for-profit experience.ย 

Education:ย  ย 

  • Aย Bachelor'sย degree or equivalent work experienceย required.ย ย 

Work Environment:ย 

  • ADL is a hybrid environment; this role will require 3 days in the office. ย 

Compensation:

  • This position has a salary range of $55,000 to $65,000. This salary range is reflective of a position based in an ADL office in the Central Division.
