Job description

POSITION SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides educational expertise, project management, technical guidance and direction in the development of Epic education. Works closely with their analyst team as well as operational leaders. Organizes and schedules a variety of educational projects in a timely and proficient manner. Maintains educational materials for assigned application(s). Provides live or Webex new hire, upgrade and refresher training to staff. Participates in operational department meetings, provides regular at the elbow support of staff. Individual must maintain a good working relationship with co-workers and other University Health staff as well as perform other duties as assigned or defined in the performance evaluation and in the University Health policies and procedures.

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in information technology or other work related field is preferred. Experience in Epic application systems and healthcare setting is preferred but not required. Knowledge and application of adult learning principles. Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent customer service skills. Highly effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to establish working relationships that foster optimal quality teamwork and education. Strong organizational skills in managing multiple priorities. Understanding and interpreting clinical and non-clinical workflows, processes, and terminology in order to translate information into educationally sound training content. Will be required to successfully pass the Epic pre-assessment test.
