About this position: Project Manager Location: Huntsville, AL

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Lead planning and execution of construction projects from pre-construction through project closeout, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.

· Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules aligned with contractual milestones.

· Coordinate pre-construction activities including scope review, estimating support, and transition from proposal to project execution.

· Direct subcontractors, vendors, and project staff to ensure work is performed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with project requirements.

· Manage project budgets, cost tracking, approvals, and forecasting to maintain financial performance.

· Oversee project documentation including submittals, RFIs, change orders, reporting, and other contract administration requirements.

· Lead project meetings and maintain consistent communication with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.

· Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain schedule, cost, and performance objectives.

· Manage inspections, punch lists, final documentation, and project closeout activities.

· Supervise and provide leadership to assigned project personnel.

· Support estimating, proposal development, and opportunity pursuit activities as needed.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications

· Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

· Level of Experience Requirements: 5+years’ experience managing construction projects

· Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple construction projects concurrently.

· Experience managing project schedules, budgets, and subcontractor performance.

· Strong knowledge of construction processes, project delivery methods, and contract administration.

· Ability to travel up to 25% within CONUS to support project requirements.

· Valid driver’s license and ability to access project sites as required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

· Strong leadership and team supervision skills with the ability to manage project personnel and subcontractors.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and project deadlines.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common project management or construction management software.

· Strong organizational and documentation management skills.

· Ability to identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.

· Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and commitment to organizational values.

· Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining accountability for project outcomes.

Preferred

Additional Qualifying Factors

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance levels required and must also be able to obtain access to military installations.

Other Pertinent Work Details: This role may support multiple concurrent projects and requires coordination with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients across different project locations.
