Job Summary
The Senior Electrical Engineer will provide essential support in standard material specification, schematic preparation, and follow-up activities. This role will contribute to the design, development, testing, and modification of standard engineering solutions. The Senior Electrical Engineer will assist in the preparation of explanations and clarifications to facilitate accurate interpretation and evaluation of specifications, performance characteristics, and other technical data. This role will also be responsible for effectively communicating standard technical and commercial issues to internal stakeholders. The Senior Electrical Engineer will recommend new designs, processes, or design modifications to meet established requirements. This role will independently execute foundational tasks and collaborate with other engineers while seeking guidance on non-routine or complex issues as necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities

Design, control, and implement electrical systems and products
Responsible for documenting specifications, schematics, and diagrams regarding the projects throughout the design process
Produce reports on project progress and other details for managerial staff
Assist in the production of electrical systems with expertise, assisting in avoiding problems and addressing any issues that might arise in the manufacturing process, reducing downtime and ensuring that the projects adhere to time and budget expectations
Design and layout new electrical systems and creating system models and simulations
Test new systems and make design changes if needed.
Arrange and partition component inside control panel; segregate AC/DC/Voltage and calculate cooling requirement based on component heat dissipation and panel dimension
Deliver cable size calculation, wire, overload, transformer and power supply calculation
Travel up to 10%

Required Skills and Abilities

Proficiency in CAD drafting tools and SAP
Strong knowledge of North American standards: NFPA, NEC, UL/cUL, CSA, as well as International and European standards: IEC/CE
Fundamental understanding of motor types: DC, AC (DOL, Y-Delta, VFD), Stepped; single-phase vs. three-phase systems and their applications
Experience working in an agile environment
Eagerness and willingness to learn new technologies
Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
Experience working in multi-functional team
Proven experience in electrical panels

Education and Experience Qualifications

BS degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
10+ Experience with hardware design including design of analog/digital circuits, Panel design and layout, Experience with low voltage AC and DC.
