AVIATION FUEL TANKER TRUCK SENIOR DRIVER JOB (SANTA FE SPRINGS (LOS ANGELES), CA)
We are looking for local and regional fuel transport drivers to join our small, "family first" company, who are committed to getting the job done safely and efficiently. This full-time position features local and regional driving opportunities primarily within 350-400 miles of Santa Fe Springs (Los Angeles), CA.
Humboldt Pacific LLC is a fuel transport company that safely transports bulk fuel (Jet A, JP8, AVGAS & Kerosene) and other petroleum commodities throughout California, Nevada, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Arizona and Utah. Our focus is in the transportation of bulk aviation fuels, however, we also specialize transport a variety of other petroleum-based products such as Jet Fuel, Renewable Fuels, Marine Gas Oil, Ethanol, Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), Biodiesel, Red Dye Off-road Diesel, AV Gas, Clear Diesel Fuel, Bunker Fuel, Gasoline, Heating Oils and Bulk Oils to commercial and private airports, aviation emergency response, agriculture and logging aviation, cardlocks, C-stores and military bases.

SUMMARY
The Petroleum Product Tanker Driver's responsibilities include safe product handling, product quality assurance, and product transportation consistent with regulatory compliance and Company operating goals. The Petroleum Product Tanker Driver is responsible for the pick-up and the drop-off of a specified liquid or gas. The driver must keep the truck properly maintained and must follow all safe driving regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Transports deliveries in a safe, responsible manner and in accordance with company policy and applicable State & Federal regulations.
  • Applies knowledge and abilities to safely load and unload deliveries according to the capacity of the load and content description.
  • Processes and maintains proper delivery authorization and pickup documentation and submits in a timely manner.
  • Maintains communication with dispatch as to any delays or issues during route/shift.
  • Provides good customer service and maintains a professional manner and appearance to enhance the company's image.
  • Performs a daily DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspection checklist, informing maintenance personnel of any issues.
  • Maintains a daily, legible DOT log book and submits logbooks as required by company policy. Maintains vehicle in a neat and tidy manner.
  • Reports all accidents/damages/malfunctions immediately to management as per company policy and procedure.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must hold a valid Class A CDL with TWIC, HAZMAT, and Tank Endorsement
  • Senior driver considered after 5th year of tanker driving experience
  • Minimum of 24 months commercial driving experience
  • No more than 2 major moving violations within a 3 year period
  • No more than 2 accidents within a 3 year period
  • DOT Drug Screening required
  • No Felony convictions
  • No DUI's/ DWI's within the last 7 years
  • No positive or refused drug or alcohol tests
  • Current Medical Examiner's Certificate
  • Must be 23 Years of age or older
  • Ability to conduct all operations in a safe manner
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a regular, full-time basis without restrictions
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Must be able to perform repetitive motion activities throughout the day
  2. Requires getting into and out of the truck frequently
  3. Must be able to lift and/or move 75 lbs on a regular basis
  4. Must be able to work 10-12 hours per day, 5 days/week
  5. Drug and Alcohol screening required
  6. Full background check required

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  1. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.
  2. The employee must able to sit for an average of 65-75% of working hours
  3. The employee will be regularly exposed to very dusty and noisy conditions
  4. The employee will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions
  5. The employee may be exposed to chemicals used in the process
  6. Working conditions require work weeks that may consist of more than 40 hours or shift work. A tanker driver must also be physically able to load and unload the tanker.
