Job description

Position title: Environmental Compliance and Radiation Safety Specialist (Senior)

Location: Camp Lejune, North Carolina

Clearance required: SECRET

Scope: Lead environmental, HAZMAT, and radiation safety programs for a special operations command.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Manage environmental compliance, HAZMAT/HAZWASTE programs, and radiation safety.
  • Conduct inspections and maintain compliance records.
  • Manage permits and reporting; deliver training.
  • Investigate and report mishaps, coordinate with installation environmental offices.
  • 8+ years overall, including 5+ years in environmental management.
  • Completion of safety/mishap, HAZMAT, and Radiation Safety Manager courses.
  • Able to lift 30 lbs. and wear PPE.
  • Active Secret clearance and a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Radiation Safety Officer credential; OSHA/EPA certifications.
