Salary: $70,500 - $80,000

Hight Logistics is seeking a Senior Dispatcher to join our team. We are a mid-sized logistics company specializing in port drayage with an emphasis on sustainability with EV trucking.


Who you are: A proactive, bilingual (English/Spanish) Dispatcher experienced with dispatching ocean containers and experience with PortPro software.

Job Summary:
This is an exclusive employment arrangement working for Hight Logistics and / or its subsidiaries. The Dispatcher is responsible for dispatching (Licensed Motor Carriers (LMCs), employee Drivers, and/or other outside Motor Carriers) and ensure that data is timely & accurately entered into company's TMS. Maintain communication with fellow Dispatchers and CSR teams to verify and resolve customer and/or shipper customer service issues. Monitor containers to avoid per diem by ensuring that all equipment is returned to the port accordingly to minimize any loss of revenue.
Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Work with the LA and Long Beach Ports to make appointments for container pick-ups and delivery.
  • Communicate with Customers, Potential Customers, Customs Brokers, Forwarders , and Terminal Contacts, and other Core Carriers.
  • Monitor the location of the fleet using system tracking or calling drivers for check calls.
  • Manage equipment, including chassis and containers.
  • Collaborating with management to modify activities to accommodate customer needs.
  • Maintain proper records and ensure information is executed correctly and on time.
  • Communicate / update Manager / CSRs on daily progress, challenges, changes, issues, and all other matters; to include, daily/shift turn over; sending daily rollover/recap report.
  • Work in a team environment
