Job description

The Marker San Francisco is seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to lead our hotel's Engineering department. This is a hands on leadership role where you will lead the team while remaining actively involved in the day to day operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the property.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, train, and develop the Engineering team
• Oversee preventative maintenance for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and building systems
• Remain hands on with troubleshooting, repairs, and daily engineering needs
• Manage vendors, contractors, service agreements, and project bids
• Oversee the engineering budget, capital projects, and cost saving initiatives
• Maintain the hotel's guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and overall physical condition
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, internal audits, and Crescent standards
Qualifications
• 4+ years of progressive hotel engineering or facilities experience
• Previous Director of Engineering, Assistant Director, Chief Engineer, or similar leadership experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance and hotel building systems
• Experience leading teams and managing vendors and contractors
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

$145,000 to $160,000 annual salary
