Digital Product Manager
Location: Raleigh, North Carolina (Onsite)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Digital Product Manager to develop and execute the product strategy, vision, and multi-year roadmaps for digital products and platforms. This role involves balancing client needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility while managing the product throughout the Agile development lifecycle. The position is a contract-to-hire opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute product strategy, vision, and multi-year roadmaps for digital products or platforms.
  • Lead product discovery activities by gathering and analyzing client feedback, market research, and business requirements.
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog, including writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and managing dependencies.
  • Partner with technology, UX, operations, risk, legal, and compliance to define product requirements and ensure successful delivery.
  • Serve as Product Manager throughout the Agile development lifecycle, participating in sprint planning, user acceptance testing, and release planning.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through complex product implementations, system integrations, and platform modernizations.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate product, operational, regulatory, and compliance risks.
  • Analyze product performance using key metrics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Drive modernization initiatives by evaluating emerging technologies and automation opportunities.
  • Develop business cases, presentations, and executive communications to support investment decisions.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's Degree is required.
Experience: 5+ years of Product Management, Product Owner, or related experience delivering digital products, platforms, or client-facing technology solutions. Experience should include managing product roadmaps and backlogs within Agile or Scrum environments, and leading cross-functional initiatives. Experience managing products within highly regulated industries such as banking or financial services is necessary.
Skills: Candidates must have experience writing detailed features, user stories, and acceptance criteria. A strong understanding of Agile methodologies, software development lifecycles, and release management is required. The role also requires strong communication and presentation skills, with experience delivering updates to senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting money movement products such as ACH, Wires, RTP, FedNow, Bill Pay, or Zelle.
  • Familiarity with banking regulations, risk management practices, audit requirements, and payment operations.
  • Experience with digital banking platforms, client onboarding, payment modernization, or real-time payment capabilities.
