Job description

Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Senior .Net Data Engineer position! This is a 12 month contract with expected extension and/or conversion to FTE and will be hybrid on site 4 days per week in Wilmington, DE. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Lead the migration and modernization of legacy applications from internal data centers to Azure cloud infrastructure, designing scalable architectures that leverage modern cloud-native patterns and services
  • Design and develop complex ETL pipelines and data processing workflows to integrate multiple vendor systems, combining data from diverse sources and orchestrating seamless data flows across the platform
  • Build and enhance wealth management applications including trading interfaces, portfolio analytics, reporting capabilities, and settlement/reconciliation systems used by traders and clients
  • Architect and implement solutions for less-defined problem spaces by creating technical designs, evaluating Azure patterns and services, and establishing best practices for the team to follow
  • Modernize existing .NET Framework 4.x applications to .NET Core as part of the Azure migration, ensuring code quality and adherence to current development standards
  • Collaborate with internal application owners, cross-functional development teams, and vendor partners to define technical approaches and deliver efficient, compliant solutions
  • Mentor and provide technical leadership to less experienced developers, conducting code reviews and ensuring team adherence to development standards and architectural guidelines
  • Manage technical components of projects including specifications, test plans, documentation, and status reporting to senior management

What You'll Need to Have:
  • 8+ years of systems analysis and application development experience with proven expertise in data processing, ETL frameworks, and data architecture
  • Strong proficiency with C# and .NET Core development, with experience modernizing legacy .NET Framework applications
  • Demonstrated experience with Azure cloud services, particularly Azure Data Factory (ADF) for orchestrating data pipelines and workflows
  • Solid understanding of both SQL and NoSQL database structures with hands-on experience designing data models and optimizing data access patterns
  • Experience in Azure application architecture and cloud migration strategies, including experience rebuilding on-premises applications for cloud environments
  • Proven ability to work on complex, ambiguous projects with minimal direction-strong problem-solving skills and the ability to challenge assumptions and propose innovative technical solutions
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to diverse audiences and collaborate effectively with senior management, vendors, and cross-functional teams

Pay Range: $85-$115+/hr
