Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Governance Analyst with expertise in SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) and experience integrating master data processes across Agile PLM and SAP S/4HANA systems. The ideal candidate will play a key role in defining, governing, and optimizing master data processes that support manufacturing and supply chain operations, product lifecycle management, and enterprise data quality programs. The candidate should seek out and recommend process improvements, assist in developing team member data knowledge and governance skill sets, and take on strategic initiatives that support enterprise scale of systems and governance processes. The candidate should drive root cause investigation to remediate issues and implement short and long-term objectives for continuous improvement across multiple stakeholder departments. This position requires deep knowledge of SAP material master, thorough understanding of manufacturing operations through global facilities, and holistic business operations impact from interconnected systems and data. This role requires strong analytical skills and clear communication abilities to both tactical and leadership levels.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead business analysis for master data management initiatives focused on Agile PLM, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP MDG.
  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to define data governance processes, ownership, and data stewardship models with a focus on material (product) master data.
  • Gather and document business requirements, process flows, and functional specifications for product master data domain.
  • Support design and implementation of SAP MDG solutions for data creation, validation, approval workflows, and integration with downstream systems.
  • Harmonize Agile PLM with SAP MDG/S4 to ensure consistent product and material master data synchronization across platforms.
  • Perform impact analysis and coordinate with cross-functional teams (Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement, Quality, and IT) to ensure master data consistency and accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data models, governance rules, and business processes.
  • Support data migration, data cleansing, and enrichment activities during system transitions, upgrades, and business scale.
  • Provide functional support for master data-related issues and change requests.
  • First point of contact and champion for data quality and governance best practices, ensuring alignment with corporate data strategy and compliance requirements.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or MDM specialist in an SAP environment.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) - configuration, workflows, data models, and validation rules.
  • Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA data structures, particularly in supply chain, materials management, MRP, production planning, and product master lifecycle management.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain operations, including sourcing, manufacturing, planning, and logistics data flows.
  • Proficiency in documenting business processes, data flows, and functional specifications.
  • Advanced MS Office skills, understanding of vlookup, pivot tables, macro recordings, data tables, charting, and formula auditing
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with data governance frameworks and data quality tools.
  • Familiarity with integration and analytic technologies: SAP PI/PO, BRF+, tableau, Advanced Planning Systems (O9), MES, AI/machine learning.
  • Exposure to MDM migration projects or S/4HANA transformation programs.
  • Knowledge of PLM (Agile) to ERP (SAP) integration, MES (SAP ME), and IBP (o9).
  • SAP MDG certification or SAP S/4HANA certification preferred.
