Position Purpose:
The Senior Data Analyst will be responsible for ah-hoc data request support, and developing and maintaining analytics tools to support the Assurance and Advisory Management (AMP) team for project work across Merchandising, Supply Chain, Store Operations, Finance and IT projects. This individual should possess strong data mining skills and be familiar with the BI tools and technology used by the AMP team to support project needs (Tableau / Tableau Server, SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Assistant, ACL, Teradata, DB2, BTEQ, SAP, and SharePoint). This role requires interaction with team members across all of the functional areas to understand their requirements and be able to develop solutions to support their data analysis needs. In addition, this individual will be responsible for delivering training to the department associates on the standard BI and analytics tools used in the department.
Key Responsibilities:
  • 40% Support AMP (Internal Audit) staff with ad-hoc data support required across functional areas such as Operations, Merchandising, Finance, Supply Chain and IT and provide solutions to drive efficiency and improved results
  • 30% Develop and maintain data mining and reporting capabilities to support the department
  • 10% Capture and develop queries and reports that can be leveraged by AMP staff to perform more efficient and accurate analytics
  • 10% Assist with the development and delivery of data analytics training for the department
  • 10% Derive meaning from data analytics and present in summarized format

  • This position reports to the Senior Manager.

Travel Requirements:
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements:
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
